Customer Accounts in bezahl.de: Benefits and Setup
By creating a transaction including a customer number, you automatically generate a customer account in bezahl.de, which you can find under "Customer Overview." Each customer account receives a fixed vIBAN, which simplifies the assignment of incoming payments and can be done manually in the customer account/sales account as well as for transactions. The assignment can also be removed if necessary. Configure your organization correctly by activating "Configuration of Customer Information" and setting the customer number as a required field, optionally supplemented with master data.
Overview:
- Providing the customer number when creating a transaction creates a customer account.
- Customer accounts can be found under the "Customer Overview" menu item.
- Fixed vIBAN per customer account.
- Incoming payments can be assigned manually.
- In the customer account, to a transaction.
- In the sales account, to a customer account or a transaction.
- Incoming payments can be manually unassigned.

How do I correctly configure my organization for using the customer account?
- Activate "Customer Information Configuration"
- Required fields: Customer number.
Optional: Master data (company, first name, last name, address).
How do I create a new customer account?
When creating a transaction, the "Customer number" field in the customer information section must be filled in. The customer number can be automatically transferred by a system or entered into the bezahl.de form. Entering a customer number for the first time creates a customer account. A dedicated vIBAN is assigned to the customer account at this point. Any subsequent transaction with this customer number in the same organization will be assigned to the existing customer account. No new vIBAN will be assigned.

Once customer data has been entered for a customer number once, this data is saved and no longer needs to be entered manually the next time. As soon as a customer number is entered that has already been used, the "Import customer data" field appears. Clicking this field transfers previously entered data to the corresponding fields.
