Step-by-step instructions for PayPal configuration for Adyen
Step 1: Access account settings
Log in to your PayPal business account and click on ‘Account Settings’ in the top right-hand corner.
Step 2: Edit API access
Select ‘Account Access’ in the left-hand navigation bar and click on “Edit” under ‘API Access’.
Step 3: Grant API authorisation
Under ‘Preconfigured Payment Solution’, click on the link ‘Grant API Authorisation’.
Step 4: Enter third-party username
Enter the following value in the ‘Username for third-party approval’ field: paypal_api2.adyen.com
Then click on ‘Look up’.
Step 5: Set permissions
Check the boxes for the required permissions according to the options provided and click on ‘Add’.
Step 6: Save PayPal merchant ID
Go back to ‘Account Settings’ and select ‘Business Information’ on the right-hand side. Make a note of your PayPal merchant ID.
Step 7: Save PayPal email address
Click on ‘Account holder information’ on the right-hand side and make a note of your PayPal email address.
Step 8: Send information to bezahl.de
Send the saved PayPal merchant ID and PayPal email address to your contact person at bezahl.de. They will configure Adyen for you.
