International transfers: What you need to know!
According to EU guidelines, international transfers within the Single Euro Payments Area (SEPA) may take a maximum of one banking day. However, if the payment is not made in euros but in another currency, the processing time can be up to four banking days. Outside the EU, the transfer can take up to seven days, and even longer for exotic currencies. Banks may also delay payments due to legal checks. Important information for payments via bezahl.de: If an international transfer is not correctly addressed to the specified IBAN or the purpose of the transfer has been changed, the automatic allocation and posting of the payment may be delayed.
Within the EU
According to EU directives, international transfers within the Single Euro Payments Area (SEPA) may take a maximum of one banking day. Important: If the payment is not made in euros but in another currency, the processing time can be up to four banking days. In addition, banks may delay payments as part of statutory checks (e.g. for money laundering prevention) – even if the money has already reached its destination, it may be temporarily invisible as a result.
Outside the EU
For transfers outside Europe, it can take up to seven days (one week) for the amount to arrive. For exotic currencies, it may take even longer.

If an international transfer is not correctly addressed to the specified IBAN or the purpose of the transfer has been changed, the automatic allocation and posting of the payment may be delayed – and thus exceed the above-mentioned time frames.
